Holy crap Chad! When it bound the first time I luckily caught the tray and held on, after that I was poised to hold the tray at any moment it caught again. Puts you on edge for every cut.

Don't try pushing it through fast and let the blade cut. I know you're not supposed to but I have been cutting metal terrazzo edging and newer profiles for years. As long as you push slow you won't have that problem.

The softer the metal the more chances it will grab.

That stuff isn't a full piece of metal, it's more a u channel. Very thin.
I kept having it bind up on my saw also. One piece cut me real good. So then I tried my angle grinder with cut off wheel, but they were so small I couldn't hold them, and they got real hot
Then I switched blades on my saw, and bind, so I tried a 3rd blade, El cheapo rigid, and they cut like butter, go figure.
It was a 20 ft backsplash, vertical also. It took all day.
I hate that stuff

I kinda like thuffner3 idea. Sounds like the same principle,when I'm cutting stone with my Skilsaw,which I use in a backwards fashion,verses pushing forward when cutting wood etc. I'll have to try that idea next tim,when cutting metal.

About finished setting on current job....pulling off a week to do a 500ft wood planking job on a lanai,then I'll return to finish around face and surround of tub(assuming slab is in place for tub),and seal/grout/caulk.

Cabinet guys were in and out in a hurry too,and it showed/shows.....multiple areas botched,and they sent back someone to fix things,which the crew was backcharged for....and the fine tuner person was there an entire day fixing mistakes etc

Brian was that material from Lowes we both did at the same time that bound up. It only happened once but that Husqvarna TS60 had some torque man and didn't trip a breaker either.

Looks like schluter rondec to me, or some other brands version of the same. Duratrim maybe?

Shower looks great. Wish those sheets intrerlocked though, so the seams between sheets were hidden better!

The SLC we poured Friday morning went well. The average depth was ¾ inch over 140 square feet. This was the first time I used washed pea gravel to fill in the deeper section which ran 4 feet by 24 feet, as deep as 1½ inches. We set deck screws to height every 18 inches or so.

Today we started the 16x16 marble installation, getting around 130 SF installed before quitting time. The bridge over the fresh tiles from the tub to the bathroom door slowed us down a bit.

You use porcupine roller? I picked one up, used it once. I liked it! Had a splatter shield and nearly took it off. Then during the pour I had a brain surge and flipped the roller over, shield worked great as screed. Maybe that was its intent?
