The stainless steel was quite heavy. I'm guessing the whole thing weighed in around 75 or 80 pounds

Nice work Paul, the tile looks completely different under the light.
Even though it was hard it would have been a lot harder to set that pattern on the wall with the massive stove in your way.
What grout are you going to use?

Since the tiles were thinsetted to the front of the kerdi yesterday, we grouted with Fusion today, right after we hung it on the wall and massaged it into place. Top is caulked with grey latex, The sides at the cabinets with CBP bright white caulk, the bottom edge was caulked with silver caulk used for gutters, but it flowed a bit too much to use any place else.

VERY nice there, Paul! Me likes it!
Can i critique it? I would have basket weaved the bands, one thru and then the next one stopped!

Nelson,
If you look at the previous picture we tried that as best we could but the tiles were the wrong sizes to accomplish that.
It was my first choice to basket weave the stainless, but alas it didn't make a difference in the final product as you couldn't tell it was done.

Scott yes you have been busy, everything looks great. I have used crackle tile quite a few times by Apex.
Paul, awesome stove splash thanks for explainin how you did it. Can't believe it is so heavy won't hurt the stove though if it falls
