Very cool justin! I sometimes use the same method to put up a corner shelf if the homeowners decide after I've tiled, though I've used pennies and Laticrete 254.
Those butterflied cuts are a nice touch. Ever think of hittin them with enhancer to darken them a bit? Seems like they are slightly lighter than the rest of the tile.

Lots of information on that shelf method under Shower Shelf in our whirl-famous Liberry.

Cool

The shelf was an "afterthought". All the tiles were enhanced with Enrich "N" seal prior to grouting. The pencils just weren't feeling it as much as the field.

This isn't tile, but I thought you guys would appreciate this mitered shampoo box. It's white translucent marble.

Very nice work in here.

Paul what size tile is in that bathroom? And did you have to cut the tile to fit to the crown, which looks built out, or was the crown installed after the tile? If you had to cut to the tile to fit to there crown, I'm assuming color match caulking was used at the joint, how upset do the painters get?

I'm curious about this because if it were my job I would've put a nailer up and tiled up to the nailer allowing the crown to cover the tile and cleaning any paint off the tile would be easier. I'd like to know how you handled this situation since you do such wonderful work
