Yeah we have nice beaches here, not the churned up rough waves like the East Coast.

Here's one from Sebastian Inlet from earlier today. Darn churned up rough waves on the east coast!

Both are pretty sweet. I went to school out on the eastern end of Long Island at Southampton College. Just down the road from campus was a place called Shinnicock Bay. Nice soft waves lapping up on the beach. Great flounder fishing! Down the road about 5 miles was the inlet strip, between the ocean and the bay, and there was a office desk sized piece of driftwood on the ocean side of the beach that I loved to go down and sit on after a good storm and watch the waves roll in. You could actually FEEL them hit the beach, and the awesome power of those waves put things into perspective with respect to just how small we are in relation to the rest of the world.
