We never cooked inside anyway. Hated the old plastic faucet too.
I glued a piece of kerdi board to the back to wedge the top into place, along with the positioning of the sink and a hidden kerdi board brace the top is held in place by gravity and some ColorRite Hemp sanded colorsil which I had laying around, along with the kerdi board, plywood, kerdi fix, PL premium, and tile. The only expense was the $19 faucet.

Hidden kerdi board brace to keep the sink from moving around.

I had all this stuff collecting dust in my garage. Besides a 2x4 would have weighed more. Or that's the thinking I'm going with.
