Engineered stone in a shower

How many of you guys have seen engineered stone slabs used in a shower bow ro warp. Starting to see a lot of this failure type. Polyester resins do not like moisture. Please comment

I've seen Corian warp but not the ES. Was it spot bonded with silicone or full bond with a premium thinset.

Hopefully Dave Gobis can chime in with some insight. If anyone has seen it, it would be him.

Usually a plasticizer issue, yup, seen it. Have done work on it in the past. That is all I got to say, the research is complicated and expensive.

I don't know about "everything". Have had some pretty big claims on cement and resin based terrazzo tile. Litigation facilitates a lot of testing and research money that never seems to be available otherwise, like before they market the product. There are more than a few bankrupt resin tile companies out there.
