Jeff, give our Customer Service line a call, they should be able to get you set up with a source in your area. Be sure to tell them that your local store isn't aware of the product and they can give our sales person in that area the heads up. 1-800-426-2734.

Well, I finally got some of the illusive 3D.. Proly paid too much, but the two half gallons were $120 including Tax, Title and Delivery.. $35 for del.
ProSource finally found it. Local distributors CDC could not get it.
I feel like I have the Holy Grail!

SWEET!

Still no luck over here yet.
I did talk to support a couple of weeks ago, but the bottom line was it was only being shipped "west of Chicago".

Local distributor in NY said to try again in a couple of weeks when they were expecting a mapei shipment ( though she had no idea about 3D )

What colors did you get?
I have a blue-ish mosaic and also another area with a black and white, fairly clear glass.
It appears (on my monitor) Frosted Glass is the lightest which is what I'm thinking would be most appropriate / safest bet for both. But it has some blue flecks in it ( which I don't really need).
Crystal Moon appears clear, though not quite as light.

how soon can we see pictures ?

Jeff, Crystal Moon has no flecks in it, the others do. If you're looking for something to simply pick up the color of the glass around it, the Crystal Moon will be your best bet. I'm sorry you're having difficult finding it, I sent your comments to our Product Line Manager for this product.

I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the colors.
Was easy to work with, just make sure ya wipe any surface clean where 3D had contact.
Now... it's not easy for a camera to pick up the glitter. Anyone have any ideas how to be able to take a pic to show the glitter?
I'm happy with the results.. The glitter does show nicely..
The 3D is on the 1x1's - Right wall just grouted - will dry lighter.. Using an Ardex Azure Blue FS (fast set) on the 6x6's - Not as easy to work with.

Wow , those are some spectacular tiles!

i don't doubt that you may have to see the 3D in person to get the effect. (Their youtube video uses some special shimmerring effects at times, so maybe you need that hummingbird to spinkle stardust in your photo

But i would have guessed Forever Sky would have been much deeper / more saturated blue than it appears on yours. Whatever it is I like it.

That's some shower, Frank. I know you're gonna talk about the tile and the nice old Japanese guy who makes it.

Just noticed, it looks like you also grouted the corner - is that your usual approach?

I like grouted corners and tub/wall interfaces. If you use silicon or a latex on a horizontal surface, there is no place for the moisture to go. It gets stuck and forms mold eventually.
However; this is a Schulter/USG wall system and I will see how it holds up. When my partner was alive, this is how we did all showers, but they were mudded - we never had any callbacks..
BUT.. the rules say - a flexible compound....

As a matter of fact, I am.. Mr Fujiwara was at Coverings '17 and he was extremely gracious. Here is JB and Mr. Fujiwara in front of their NEW Line of colors.. These tiles have "NO REPEAT" color patterns. Each tile is clearly distinct from the rest. Amazing process..
Great company to deal with!!

Got my glass mosaic up around the tub. Also did another area of clear / black and white glass around the rest of the room which should also benefit from the Flex 3D. But unfortunately still no sign of any 3D around here. One distributor said he's been waiting 2 weeks for the rep to come by with the color charts. The other said to call back in about a month!

I checked Prosource. Maybe as a DIYer I just don't know the secret handshake, but they aren't showing any grout. Assuming I found the right place, it seems to be wholesale for tile , laminate, carpeting etc and geared towards hooking me up with a pro to install it.

Oh well.. still stuck in 2D

I'm still waiting for chip kits for the truck and office. Do have some paper charts but easier to sell off the chip kits.

Just wait... You'll get your 3D grout and then they'll come out with Virtual Reality grout. Such is life.

Hey, if 3D is good enough for Ralph Kramden, its good enough for me!

You want to know the reason?

"I want my... I want my ... Flex 3D"

Thankyou Mr Knopfler and Sting, for the musical intro ...

Still NO sign of Flex 3D in NY. My local Daltile is still waiting to hear from his Mapei rep (for weeks now).
Running out of other things to do on this project, and I'm working as slow as I can

Is there any place to buy it online??
