Tub Surround Question

Hello,
I have been working on putting in a new tub and complete tile surround. The tub I order came with 1 5/16" tile flange. I used furring strips to bring the Durock over the tub flange. The Durock sits 1/8" above the tub flange and I used silicone on the back of the cement board where the Durock passes over the tub flange. Next I used Redgard on the Durock and followed the directions.

My question is the following, I have already set most of my tile but I realized that I did not silicone below the cement board before I set tile. Will I have a problem or will I be okay?

Thanks,

Ron

These 2 statements appear to conflict. So, where exactly is this Durock in relation to the tub deck? If you can still see it, upload a photo using the paper clip icon above the reply box.

Sorry for not being clear, the Durock comes past the tile flange 1 3/16". My concern is this, was I not supposed to caulk the 1/8" space left between the Durock and the tub? I did however place the tile so that it is covering the space. I will take a picture and post later if needed.

Thanks in advance,

Ron
