On that quarry tile i think they are trying to match up the inside cuts with the inside corner base tile(hopefully).

There you said it Brian, food court. That 1" space in the corner was for the Sanitary Cove tiles that didn't show up yet. Yeah, that's the ticket.

the look is clean but most hacks dont know they exist..lol

This is my sister-in-law's house. It is a new modular home that was built about 10 months ago. Some of these tiles have fallen off. The modular home seller / installer / finisher explained this by telling her that the house is settling and tiles will fall off as the house settles. They just send a guy out with a bucket of mastic and stick them back up. This is just one of many problems she has had with this hack of a company.

that's bad Mike.

check out the epoxy grout washing and coming out of the joints all over the place at my gym.

the main floors have spots coming out in about 30 places and the showers the epoxy grout washed out of the 2x2 mosaic shower floors.

the gym is only 2 years old if that.

Why do you think the grout is coming out?

I don't know. I was going to ask the Manager who cleans it and then call them to
see what chemical or method they clean it with. then see if they want it all
replaced or whatever, but I don't like or do re-grouting.

With the flooring, I can imagine that if the floor was wet when the epoxy was installed that it wouldn't have bonded well to the edges. Can't figure out if that's as likely with the wall tile though?

But the epoxy should be able to stand up to either of those if it was 100% solids, right? Is it possible that SpectraLock was installed instead of 100% solids?

could be, I doubt I will track down the GC just to see.
I'm just going to watch the grout fail.
it recently started about 2 months ago and seems to be getting worse.

Give it long enough Brian, it will all be out. Then the job will be like a first time grout. Those shower floors look like they have not been grouted at all.

I looked again today and it looks like its just washing out in spots all over the mens lockers. some joints are super low, some washed out, like it was melted out. some areas are fine.
