Good job, Chris.
Did the same tile in a shower last summer. Really got a workout those days.

Thanks Kevin I appreciate that. It’s definitely been a workout every step of the way with these ones. Upstairs bath makes it more fun.

In 1992 I thought I was the best and published a book. I soon found out that I knew a lot less than I thought I did. In 2003 I figured I was among the cream of the crop and published another book. After seeing the work of Chris and many others on this forum through the years, I've determined that I never was, and never will be, more than a fairly good tile setter. I just can't compete with you guys.

Thank you John (Mr.Bridge), that means a lot. I am eager to improve my skill set and continue to learn in any which way that I can. This forum has been invaluable in bringing my work in line with the industry standards (properly setting tile and building a shower correctly) and in building up my confidence/ability to deliver something that’s both functional and easy on the eyes. Thanks to all of the Forum pros, who do exceptional work and keep things at such a high degree of quality.

It’s Porcelain tile, the outside corners are mitered, then there’s pencil edge on the inset section.

I did this a while ago but don't think I ever posted it. It were a pain in the, well you know. I think there were 650 cuts in the back splash. I nipped off the bottoms of ever piece so that it was centered between the cabinets and the counter top and then placed pieces individually in-between at the top and the bottom. On the fire place I put those little bitty pieces in all around the perimeter inside and out. I raised my backsplash prices after this one.

Chris,
Just curious as to what tile that is? I presume the pencil is the same manufacturer and designed to go with it?
I am currently looking at some similar stuff...

I think that’s the same stuff, just at a better price. Here’s the link to the tile: https://elysiumtiles.com/product.php...+Matte+24+x+48
The pencils are marble.
