Removing Etching From Limestone Floor?

I'm thinking of using a deep brown limestone in a honed finish in a small kitchen. After the cabinets are in there will only be about 3.5' X 6.5' of floor showing. Since it such a small area if I did spill something acidic would I be able to use one of those do it yourself kits to remove any etching? I think they come with a buffing compound, and some sort of polishing compound. Is this doable for such a small floor area if the worst happened? Thanks!

It's tough to match a honed finish. Not saying it can't be done. A really good sealer will help limit the impact in the first place along with quick reactions.
