Imer Switch Issue

Hey guys im new to the forum if this has been asked and answered i apologize
Ive got an Imer combi 250v. Recently ive changed the on/off switch because it seemed like it was activating both on and off simultaneously and not getting up to speed. With the new switch(from Imer ) it still doesnt appear to get up to speed and stop under any load shortly after cutting. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Moved from 12 year old general Imer thread.

Is this the saw you have, Ed?

Pretty sure I don't understand that at all. What measurements led you to that conclusion?

May only be getting half the voltage., could be temperature switch or a capacitor. need a multimeter check. I’d also recommend you take it to someone if you don’t feel completely comfortable with live circuits.

That is the saw that I have. Ive had it for quite sometime now about 4 years ago i had to replace a shaft bearing so im comfortable working on it including electric im guessing I should check voltage coming out of the capacitor? Any way to check the capacitor? My last resort is to take it to a shop for repairs as i once was charged $75 to replace a cord on a $100 drill 25 years still doesnt sit right with me. Thanks for the quick response. Ive always appreciated item specific forums for that reason. Name: 20220804_224830.jpg
