LT,
If you are using 2" kerdi board the I think you can skip the kerdi banding and avoid any buildup at all. With kerdi products they want a 2" over lap and the board is 2". The orange stuff on the board isn't the waterproof part, the foam is, so the banding is extra when it comes to the 2" board, IMHO.

Thanks Paul.I actually was following precise instructions given by Schluter.I was instructed on how to construct these seats per dimension.I was told that kerdi band needed to be placed where u see it.I like to follow tech instructions especially when trying new products.Ill just skip the kerdi altogether on the next ones since Ill just Hydroban it anyways.

LT, love your glass tile shower pan. Please share some close ups of the inside and outside corners on the rounded cove.

L.T. shower floor- very cool
Kids working- child abuse.
Chad and others- nice
non-pro hobbyist posting here- apologies.
So my old shop called me up last week and needed my to make a test cut on the bandsaw, they have a large Wausau terrazzo tile job to bid and, well, it's like the one a bunch of years ago that I figured out for them.
As they have 500 or so cuts to do, they are considering buying a diamond laser. Back when we did the last one we had acess to a monster 3 phase shop maching that weighed about a metric buttload crap ton.
Tiles will be 16 x 16 x 5/8" thick so they had me cut 3 12's @ 1/2", and time it for their estimate. 3 min 10 seconds, not including clamping.
This is why I can show up there anytime and borrow tools or hit up their stash of thousands of buckets.

Daniel,
I think the HO was going to leave the counter tops the same, but they were going to repaint...

9:30am, downtown Albany. Picture text message to customer (working in home office in the next room) "Note to your cat- this is a shower, not a toilet"
