Great work everyone -
Steve, on that glass mosaic pony wall - were the corners capped with curved glass tiles? What happened in the top corners there the 3 - 90ยบ's came together?
This was yesterday's little challenge at work; glass tile cut, ground and polished to meet the raised granite counter. Had to make 2 of these only, a right and a left, thank jebus. Each one took about 30 minutes to make them look factory made.

Paul did you stage that pic with that box a Puffs? I bet the homeowner left it there, seeing those cuts around that granite brought tears to her eyes, or his eyes....
Nice work on the glass, you are the GlassMaster I must say

well after seeing 11 weeks worth of Michal's work, Chads lack of detail, and the puffs medicated there for Paul to wipe the sweat off his brow while making those beautiful edges. I feel like I should just forget about posting but these 24x24 2cm thick tiles on the third floor are gonna get looked at damn it......
orginal guy had the first layout with his homemade spacers, and karate chop cuts hadn't shown up in three weeks so in comes me. gotta seal and grout still but heavy stuff is over and am I glad it was only 60 ft cause I am sore.

The box-o-puffs was staged to block the glare from the living room window.

Cain,
your craftsmanship makes a world of difference. We should start a new thread with before and after pics...

Wow Cain, I gotta get me some of those drywall spacers. Is that plywood I can see between the tub and tile in pic 2? Looks like you made it right, looks nice.
Nice work everyone.

Thanks Paul, It's the first thing I have had in 3 weeks so I jumped at the job. Home is owned by an Interior designer so I was trying real hard.
Sorry Mark just dropped em off in the dumpster, but I think you can get your own pretty cheap.
and yes that is 1 layer of ply on the floor. he had about 25 ft of ditra on site. I don't know what his plan was but I am pretty sure tile is not his full time job

Cain nice stuff especially with the 2cm.
Paul do you use a belt sander on those round areas ?
And can you imagine how many perfectly good scraps I could have made those drywall spacers with I threw away. You mean 1/2" joints aren't in style anymore.

I cut as much of the glass away as possible using glass cutting tools. Then go at it for a bit with a dry diamond blade on my makita RA grinder set as slow as possible. Once I get more glass away without chipping the back, then I go to a grinding stone on the makita, getting it down to the cut line. The stones I buy at Empire Tools here in Houston. The 36 grit, 1.5" diameter runs about $6. Since the stone is running in the same direction as the glass tile, it doesn't chip the edges.
Followed by 80 > 120 > 240 > 320 > 400 > 500 grit dry alpha pads on the same grinder.
