Everything is finally done on my first mud shower. I'm not one for gold fixtures, but I do love the stone

Chalk lines all the way man. It was beat into my head very early that spacers are for walls and homeowners, although I see a use for them on floors occasionally
Does Billy know you at Mohawk by name?
No not yet, since I'm just getting started out on my own. It's a bit of a hike for me as well

Yeah, it was some pretty rough stuff. I worked with easymat once, and well....once was enough. It was actually in one of Daltile's rep's house, he insisted we use it and proclaimed it to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Joe, very very nice work.

Good time Brian, esp as you had a lid to do too.
Brain pickin time Brian......regardless of perimeter cuts,if fulls fit around the drain, run it? (wondering if fulls dictate layout with Kerdi system,as never done Kerdi)
Have done square drains in commercial BR's in past, and drain was never used as layout.

I always check to see if the 1x1, 2x2 fit full, then check to see what the cuts will look like. the good thing about the kerdi drain is it has a little side ways slide in it to adjust. usually it works out pretty good. had a few that I had to have cuts around it.
I think the focal point is the drain in the shower. a nice even perimeter cut isnt a big thing.

With having the full tile option around the entire drain Brian,I can see your decision. So,a Kerdi drain system,if I understand it correctly, isn't locked into a certain size tile, correct?

no Rich, you have a little slide(1/2") in the divot in the flange with the lateral adjustment collar.
