First class work on the quartzite Chris. That sure turned out sweet.

Thanks CX n Bubba. Those are barstools CX. The "tongue" on the front is a place to set your feet. Very comfortable. Everyone who sat on one gave a thumzup. The homeowner is a class act in every respect and is indeed happy with the pool.

Jerry,

Looks to me like the bar/coping beam is tilted so you can't set your beer can on it.

Beautiful job as always.

Everybody is killing it with the craftsmanship but I have to say Jerry is on a another level as we all know.

Simply outstanding!
I can only imagine the amount of prep work that goes into the pool details like the stools , loungers and the steps.

Thanks Karl but I think a lot of us are on the same level, just different areas of expertise. The work in your pictures shows impeccable detail as do others. Might want to keep and eye on Chris tho. I've met him and I can say that he has a money making future in this business. Spot on with work ethic and talent.

I will say that I am fortunate to do what I do. I always have the pool to myself. No other trades whatsoever working on top of me. Huge benefit.

Jerry & Chris unbelievable craftsmanship on your respective pools, I would take either

Actually I get ideas by seeing this, I want to do an in ground here maybe get started late this fall or early Spring next year and the ideas are flowing. I definitely want something unique and to be able to use my skills doing something neat. We tend to use our skills at home while many come home not wanting to do anything related to what they do.

I agree Jerry I see passion in both these pools and amazing skills. The features in that pool and the detail even closeup I don't think I have ever seen.

When you have passion it shows and you both obviously do, the reason you come here to share and thank you both. Bar stools

This fireplace went smoother than expected. We have 7 days from tearing out sheetrock to grouting this morning. The smaller 8ft fireplace on the other side of the wall is the one that snuck up on us, funny how that always seem to happen.

Yes they are mitered. I always think they look better ungrouted, grout makes them look bigger. We always leave a little room, here is a pic before grout. The black fireplace is the one that worked us over.

Marvelous work Jeff, awesome fireplaces. What do you do to avoid chip out when mitering the porcelain slabs? Do you use a jig or grinder with the polisher to kiss the edges?

It’s coming together beautifully out there Jerry, looks as though some planning ahead worked out well. Thanks for the kind words, I’ll have to keep on working toward that future
Jondon I’ve never been to Pennsylvania, but I’m sure we can drink brainstorm with Jerry and help ya build a sweet pool

Here’s today’s Saturday special took the youngster with me, she got tuckered out before the cattle got fed but played with the flock of country cats onsite instead.

Thanks Chris! We just use the sigma attachment to do the miters. I generally push Inalco or Porcelanosa floor and wall lines. Much easier to work with than the sintered materials. We are able to do the fab on-site that way. Saves time and money. Chipping hasn’t been a problem but I have had a blow out when a blade lost tension, overheated, and cracked off an edge of the panel.

Nice work Jeff. Them are some serious pieces of porcelain and in my opinion mitering is the only way to go. It’s a classy look. I don’t think I have ever seen a fireplace that small though.
