Happy to see this thread staying active, really motivates/pushes us toward improving marginally each job forward! Jeff and Jon, you both have work that is beyond typical, true artisans pumping out master craftsmanship. Very fun and mind-boggling when you dissect the level of detail present in each pic/job. Awesome to see what’s possible when the tile guy puts their all and leaves a spin (part of their existence/being) set into a project

Forgot to shout out to you Steve, your work is what sets a high standard hope you don’t mind but I downloaded your basketweave Floor so I could zoom into the details on PAINT. Was that absolut black granite for the border material?? And did you set it simultaneously or one before the other??

A little art project I did for my uncle. The space was a planter right inside their front door, that they never could get anything to grow in. a 2x2 3x3 and 2x4 for the base. Used a 4x8x3/16 platefor the upright pieces. Plasma cut everything then used a torch to heat them up and bend them. Airbrushed everything and welded them to the square and rectangle tube, cut slots in the bottoms of the tubes so there are no visible fasteners and bolted the tubes together

Wish I could say I did the stone work but that has been there longer than I have been alive

Grandkids maybe but if they are climbing around up there and they don't die they will probably wish they had, cause death would be better than the ass whipping that is coming. That stone wall is about 4 feet tall.

I agree Chris, I always like to see what other people are working on in different areas and how they approach installation. It is nice to see the others that have that passion to go the extra mile.

We were impressed with these treads. The drop edges were epoxied and returned underneath. One of them came broken so I beat the edge on the ground repeatedly to test the strength and finally broke but not where it had been epoxied.

Who needs real wood anymore.
