Josh, great looking shower. Lots and lots of nice details, well done.
Yes I can see how you are loving the Bulldog, gives so much more refined with those bullnosed edges. So your tile is matte finish so you didn't have to polish the bullnosed edges. I have done a lot of bullnosing with my grinder attachment and have a polisher but this would be ideal to have. Problem is many cases you can't bullnose the porcelain because it is not thru body.
Worked with some marble this past weekend, did the sink side splash over the winter and she finally got the mural from Stone Impressions in Cali so I worked on it Fri. and Sat. Still have to grout. When I installed the mural and marble tile around it Friday we didn't use the pencil border. I showed up Sat. and ended up removing the tiles around the mural, to insert the pencil frame. Told her what I tell every customer, if I can do it I will. This wasn't easy because while removing the tiles around the mural, it took most of the paper off the sheetrock. Made for a long day to get it all repaired and tiled with the border. I do think it looks better with the frame and I am charging by the hour on this one...lol

Thanks guys, don't get too many projects like this one. Lot of patience here, she was picking them out as I was putting them in.
Behind the sink they must have put a new window and frame in. It looked like the granite was cut wrong, we filled that in to make something good vs everyone knowing it was a mistake. Being very creative means lot of patience and time but in the end, you are glad you did it.

Jon backslash looks great and I like the pencil around the mural. I'm sure it wasn't easy removing those tiles without damaging the mural since it looks like 1/16 grout joints. Did that mural have a glaze on it ?
Thought I'd post up some more pics of that same bathroom. Floor had variations from 1-1/4" to 5/8" it was really wavy, ceiling joist were all doubled up with engineered lumber to eliminate deflection and carry the 400 lb tub going in. Sun Touch wire went down ,then Ardex P51 primer , then 19 bags of Ardex Liquid Backerboard. SLC sat for a week or so while we worked on the shower then covered it with Greenskin. Bathroom floor is bordered with polished Atlas 12x24 and the inset is 1x2 polished basket weave. Grout is starting tomorrow in the shower, it's all getting Spectralock smoke grey.

Josh, I will be installing some basketweave this upcoming week myself
Just curious why the diagonal cuts through the tiles?

Ray the perimeter is all a border and that flows around in front of the vanity. That area to the left of your circle is where the commode goes and it didn't look right only having 9" of basket weave so the home owner elected to just fill in with border tile.

Josh fantastic work, that basketweave is one of my faves of all time just such a classic, timeless look. Well done, the homeowner always has the final say, if you want to get paid that is!
When I walked in after installing that mural the day after and her wanting to put the pencil border in I could have just said, ain't doing it. Took most of the paper off the sheetrock but there was enough left otherwise we could have been taking out the rock and replacing that first. It does look better so it was the right choice and she paid me for my time. Yes the mural had a glazing on it, I sealed it before grouting. Stone Impressions did the mural out of California, she took a pic and put her own touch into it.

Josh beautiful job. That is Tarkus Tile level right quality there. And you know that is saying something.
The Atlas Concorde porcelain you used is really nice option for an area where the real stuff is not practical.
Nice work on the mural backsplash Jon!
Since Ceramictec hasn't been posting any porcelain plank pictures recently I guess I will have to fill the gap.
Here is a 6" x 36" Italian grey porcelain plank tile we installed on a home in the Kaanapali Hillside community in Maui. Clients were super nice and from Houston, TX. We used MLT in a few areas- conveniently stored in a TLS bucket.
Installed it with 1/16" grout joints- grouted with Laticrete Permacolor "Dusty Grey" and set with grey 4XLT "classic" version. We managed to find some of the non "new and improved" version. The new and improved version meets ANSi 118.15 but no pot life and not creamy like the original. At least that is what we find is happening in our hottest summer in years. It is like Coke-please bring back the original version Laticrete.

Isaac I'm not sure I'd say Tarkus level, that guy does some absolutely amazing work but I really appreciate all the compliments
That plank looks awesome! I love the weathered wood planks ,especially when the grout lines disappear. Looks really good on those stairs too!
I completely forgot about the new 4XLT version until you just mentioned it. I've noticed the same short pot life on the job I posted about because of no climate control yet.

Arggg. Me too, Jim. Just finished 2500 sf outdoor deck in full sun with Laticrete 254, could only spread one tile at a time, was really looking forward to going back to the old 4xlt, forgot about the new version, already stocked it. It's beautiful Isaac!
