I apologize in advance for the long post.
I am well into a bathroom remodeling project, and I thank you for all of the advice so far. Here is a pic of my shower stall:

I hope these post, I may not have done them right. Also, I apologize for the state of my bath, but hey - I have to start somewhere.
I have moved all the plumbing to the appropriate places, built a frame and installed a jetted tub, now on to the shower.
My wife wants the deck of the tub extended into the shower area for a box like shower seat. I would have love to gone John's whay with a corner seat, but the large vent tube kind of prevents that. The shower will extend out to where the 2x4 is placed on the floor. The HVAC vent prevents it from going out any farther.
So, If I may, I have some questions.
1. I'm going to need to add some more framing to accomodate a drywall/CBU seam. How far past the point of where the shower glass will go do you extend the tile? I'm using 4x4 tumbled marble (I know, I know - marble - but I have a wife!). And how far do I extend the CBU towards the curb?
2. How do I join CBU to drywall, and do I need to have a stud behind where I join them?
3. I want to tile to the sealing, but do I destroy my current drywall wall to ceiling joints, or do I cut the drywall down so far and join it to CBU?
4. If I use "frameless" glass shower doors and half wall, do I attach the channel to the CBU before tiling or to the finished tile?
These are all the questions I could think of a the moment, but as I keep progressing I know more will arise.
