6. Test Boards

Here' one I created to test Custom's new PRISM grout, spacing from 1/16" through 1/2".

And the finished product:

Test boards don't have to be pretty.

Another one I created using 4 different grout colors. Then finally, some 2+ year old sealer.

Here are a couple submitted by Andriy (aluchkovsky)

Here's how not to test for different colors.

We shall withhold this Mudslinging Despardo's name to protect the guilty party's wife from further embarrassment . Aren't them Californian's something else?

We should have a contest for the ugliest test board. Git to wurk. We luv to have yours on display here

Tiletim posted this test board recently. It shows the relationship between grout and the various tiles to be used in the project, and how the grout affected each type of tile.

Because of this test board, Tim and the client made certain changes to their original choices before they purchased and installed a lot of materials.

Thanks, Tim!

Test Block

Our client was curious about how the window column corners would look, so we used a cement block as a test for both the corner and the grout. The test passed and off we went.

Here's one with large format glass tile & white, black, and clear silicone sealant "grout". Joints are 3/32".
