Hi Pedro,
Thanks for opening this thread. We have been having occasional "resource limit reached" errors and from server logs we think this is due to 'bots hammering the registration page.
I made a server change to try to improve this, and initially it seemed to work but there were some side effects, one being some users were reporting they had to keep logging in at random times.
I reversed the changes, but made an error and the site became unreachable. I fixed that yesterday morning and kept waiting for the changes to take place. This morning, I re-checked, and my changes had reverted. I changed again, and now we are back.
There may still be intermittent issues as the changes have to propagate around the web.
So sorry for the trouble!

I don't understand the question, Pedro. The site's been very stable for me - it was completely off for two days and now it's completely back on. That's pretty stable, non?
Got a lot done around my little rancho during the blackout, too.

I don't doubt the site still has some problems, Pedro. My comment was intended as jest.
And I might have gotten back on had I even the tiniest inkling of how to re-route myownself through some other location as you indicate you did. Hell, I can't always figger out how to get on from here!

Pedro.
If you're as savvy as you allude to being, we may have a job for you around here.

Yes, I too was wondering why I cannot get a “secure connection” and wouldn’t load.
I hear you on the bot registrations.
I’ve been a moderator on another site for like 15yrs and we occasionally have the same issue.
We used to be on VBulletin but, switched a couple years back to XenForo.
