Clemson SC is smack dab in the center of the umbra. Our buddy's at the NTCA & the CTEF can just step outside and catch the greatest show on earth.

Oregon is expecting up to a million outsiders fouling up our rural landscape. I'm 30 miles from the umbra and am considering heading the opposite direction that day.

I'm wondering what all this has to do with a weather thread, Michael. 
Bodie, I bet y'all still have all them big highway signs inviting "outsiders" to come visit your state. Y'all gotta figger that now and again a whole gaggle of'em might take you seriously, eh?

Yeah, I'm sure that's what Michael had in mind.
Nope, no Come to Oregon signs down here, Bodie, but last time I visited your fair state (only time, truth be known) I recall seeing such signs at your borders, 'specially the southern borders, where y'all were inviting your California neighbors to come visit, but then to please go back home. Made my whole day, those signs. 
We got Welcome to Texas signs at all our border crossings, but who cares? If 20 million folks came to visit we could just pewt'em all inna bunch out in West Texas and they would make but a big dot on the topo maps.
