In your case, the Texas Hill Country, CT.

Been over a hunnert a number of days herabouts, like today, for example, and I find it not much to my liking. But it's down to 'bout 90 at 23:30 (85 at midnight) and this is the warmest night I think I've seen this summer. And there's a nice breeze blowing, which is the case most alla time here.

So, sometimes it's hot. And last winter we had a pretty hard freeze for maybe three days, which we hadn't seen for some years. But then it gets nice again and life goes on.

I've certainly lived and worked in places that were more pleasant inna summer, but in every case the winters could be rather more trying than here.

And having lived a couple years in Hawaii and several in Florida, I can say both are far more temperate than here. But I'd not choose to live in either place again, given the option to do so at the same cost as here. But some folks apparently really like both of'em.

Right here where I am is the least taxing climate I've found in a place without the negatives of sand and salt water and touristas. But if you like any of them there, hie thee thither, say I.

Oh, and we do have our droughts (now) and floods (soon), but hey, how else you gonna git you a rainfall average.

Poor baby.

After all my braggin' about the wonderful Texas Hill Country, I'm currently showing 110 degrees in my "basement" mechanical area in my hovel. Had to start the onboard generator so's to be able to run both air conditioners to keep the inside liveable. Hot here, too.

Need to build me a shade roof to park this thing under. But it ain't usually this much a problem.

We have some rain and cloud cover today...Very Very nice. It sure hasn't been 117 but we have hit the 104/105 range the last few days and that is just plain miserable. I couldn't imagine those temps with any humidity at all. Think I'll stick with the freezing cold.

Alas... only hits 90 on the hottest of summers here in my area of SW CO... maybe even 92! Unfortunately, summer is all to short, and yes, Sept 14- saw the first good deposit of white stuff on the mtns -out my north window!
ahhh the price you pay for a beautiful place to live.

Yeah, that makes me REAL homesick.

I'll take record heat and drought over that as the lesser evil, thanks.

Early mornings in the 45 degree range and warming up to around 75 during the middle of the day. Bow season started Saturday so spent the weekend in the woods. No phone but plenty of mosquitos to keep me company.

We are in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where it was 46 last night and slated for 75 today. Perfect.

It's still in the mid-eighties in Houston, though. It'll be warm when we get home.
