Here in Seattle it has stopped rain/snow and some breaks in the clouds.
I just saw that the Columbia Bar is closed today. Is the wind also blowing in Astoria Trask?
Friends from Portland arrived last night and it sure sound like the folks received quite a bit of snow. They said almost 2'. Here we had about 8-10" and it has melted off the streets and melting fast everywhere.

I think visibility was the main issue Jerry. But generally bad conditions...snow& ice +big ground swell+about a 30knott sw wind and socked in fog.. I guess it all adds up to a problem waiting to happen..my neighbor owns a cannery and he really needs them brave souls to get out and get more crab..he was gripping about the closure this morning.

As some of you know, our time off over the holidays went to heck for a lot of reasons. However, we were able to take the Ranger out in the desert today geocaching....our first time.
Took Gunner the Schnauzer with us (a good friend of Shaka's) as his mom and dad were under the weather and he was bouncing off the walls for some outdoor time. The weather was awesome...sunny and 70 degrees. Except for the cactus needles we all got from those darn chollas, it was the best day in awhile.
The views were priceless and Gunner was exhausted. Note the blue blankie on the couch..Gunner's blankie. Apparently the couch and pillows were more comforting.

Chicago was a great place to be inside yesterday watching the Hockey game played outside at Wrigley Field. Too bad the Hawks lost.

Great pics Marge. I've always loved the desert scenery, I was born in Tucson, and visited frequently growing up. Gotta get back out there some time.
I've got more blood relatives in Tucson than anywhere else.

84* and I've started to build upon a mild case of sunburn. Not a cloud in the sky, pelicans flocking overhead, Mojitos on the beach. Oh, did I mention I'm in Ixtapa?

My brother is driving up from Illinois to La Crosse, Wisconsin on Wednesday. Looks like he'll be gettin' a welcome-to-Wisconsin greeting from the weather.
