OK youse guys, who got what kinda weather?
Wonderful downtown Welfare, Texas (yes, that's a real town, closest to my humble abode), 28 degrees (up from 26 an hour ago), freezing rain, rhime ice on all horizontal surfaces as we speak. Forcast for 3-4 inches of snow by morning.
This is the same place that boasted highs in the low eighties only a week ago.
How's MI? How's Lon Gisland? How's PA? How's wherever that place Bud lives? How's Houston? How's whatever parts of Canada? How's OZ? I know how's Dallas.
Report!

How's this:
FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN
PORTIONS OF THE WARNED AREA AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE FREEZING RAIN
WILL SPREAD SLOWLY EASTWARD REACHING THE AREA EARLY
THURSDAY MORNING. THE FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST
MOST OF THE DAY IN THE WARNED AREA.
No more golf I guess...

Well, hell, Cami, what does that tell us?
Some peoples around here go to wearing long pants way before it even gets down to freezing. Know what I mean?
So, is it cold or not?
(loved your little smilie)
Bud:
I guess that means it won't get into the seventies again this week, eh?

Boring!!!!
The forcast for the next 3 days is: low-67 high-81, low-67 high-81, low-67 high-81. Partly cloudy each day.
Boy I miss freezing my "keester" off!?!?!
Slip, sliding away!!!
You know, people say "I wouldn't live in Florida, too many huricanes". I wonder how many people die due to slippery driving conditions, compared to huricanes? I wonder how many freeze to death?
Well it's off to another boring day in the Sun.
Hey, you asked cx, I'm just reporting in.

I did, I did axe. But you'll note that I didn't axe for nobody to tell how it was in Florida, now did I? That's on accounta I already could guess that one, having lived a few years in St. Pete myownself.
Only place I've lived with more boring weather was Hawaii. Ever day, same weather. Only two seasons: Rainy season and Dry season. Couldn't tell'em apart. Got alla way down to 55 degrees one winter and some old locals died! Is true story. Mostly.
Now Terry has a problem there. No way I could live where it rained alla time. Be like Washington state, I'm told. Old forcaster there (DFBB Jones)says: If cannot see Mt. Ranier, Is raining; If can see Mt. Ranier, will rain soon. No, no, no, don't wanna live some place like that. Although the only summer I ever visited their fair state, the weather was beautiful.
Most of the ground is white here this morning, but it ain't no 3 inches of snow. More false advertising. Maybe 1/2 inch of sleet is all. Off to work.

Dang it, Kelly, there ya go getting all technical and specific.
So: Yesterday's lakeshore high was 31. Wind gusts to 40 mph. Three inches of snow. Today it's 34, wind has died down, rain has stopped, sent Jack out to finish the rim joists.
And I thought the smilie said it all.
Here's one that made me think of you, for whatever reason.

Mike, for a Sun Belt boy, you know a lot about snow blowin'. You sure you ain't no stealth Yankee?
Well, I'm of course excedingly upset. I look at the weather map and it's 60 in New York and 60 in D.C. The same weather map tells me my own ass is sitting in 43 degrees for the high! Tonight it's going to approach freezing again! To salt the wound, I see it's about 50 up in Ontario!
But then, by Saturday it's going to be near 70 again. There IS a God.
