I thought these pics were better posted here. These are a few of the examples of the backsplash job noted elsewhere on the forum. The HO's pics didn't do justice to the offense.

Enjoy,

Damn Paul, that is bad. I have to say it, what's with the uncovered granite top with the crow bar on it?

They countertops are next on the list for replacement, I know the HO's are working out of order, but I don't get to make those decisions.

Shouldn't that be mastic on the doorknob? I found that once with my new helper a few years back.....

I was hoping they used mastic, then we could have saved the tiles. Sadly they used real thinset. Although the thicker areas 1/4" or so, were still soft after 3 days.

I'm afraid to try to clean the doorknob. Any suggestions?

We should be finishing the install of the replacement travertine subways today. Grout tomorrow. Its a shame the HO had to trash all that beautiful crackled glaze tiles. Yes, we work Sundays to by special request. They needed this done quickly and I felt so bad for them. They have a full bath build out coming soon and we are on the books for that, so working one weekend is worth it.

McDonald's glass tile with 12x24.....yikes.

Gueuze would have a heart attack if he saw this and probably call the manufacturers

Why do their architects waste the money if their budgets don't allow for a competent installer?

I know this is off topic, my friends bathroom is being redone through his home owners, the insurance company is giving him 1,100 for tile work labor this is for 2 mechanics @ 16.00 an hour. I have to mud the walls and floor...
