Was hoping to....
2 - 42" discs of 1/2" CDX plywood glued and screwed
1 - 42" disc of 1/4" cement board, thinset and screwed to plywood
nearly 11'L x 3/4"W stucco net, nailed to side, then covered with thinset
4 - coats of RedGard on top and sides
Tile consists of leftover green glass tiles and stone tiles from the kitchen backsplash, and some tumbled travertine picked up on clearance at Home Depot.
Some linen colored sanded grout
Drew out some circles and lines to keep the pattern 'in check' and started setting tile. Butter one tile, press it onto the substrate.
Once the top surface was tiled, flipped the top over and set the tiles to the side...
Here is the side tile prior to grouting
After setting the tiles on the side, flipped it back over and grouted the top. Which is where I'm at right now. Tonight, we'll flip the top upside down again to grout the sides and seal the bottom of the table.
