I haven't worked in the Miami Dade area in years Karl. You ever want to work in Sarasota for a while let me know. I have 3 to 5 pools to do this winter coming. One of them has been tiled twice and screwed up both times. If and when you learn to backbutter paper faced mosaics you would probably find that it's a lot easier than just thinset. A lot of benefits to the method.

Last picture is of the bare wire that was just resting under the tub and blew when I moved it (scorch mark on the bottom plate) taped it up temporarily, and we pulled it later that day from the attic.

Looks great Brian. What blade are you using to cut the glass with?

I have a Husqvarna glass tile blade. Works really good.
This tile was awesome but the angle of them was a pain.

If I ever get back to Florida to look at houses again, and when I see awesome tilework I know either Brian or Jerry were involved.
Still cant believe how terrible most tilework is in FL.

The B&W fireplace is Inalco's Slimm 6mm, mantle is 12mm. Everything was done on sight with a grinder, ETM table and a rubi cutter.
We did 2 master baths in the house, corners are all protected so can't grab any good pics atm. I'll dig some pics up, we had to hang the panels and cut the window openings afterwards at the homeowners request of as few seams as possible.
The outdoor fireplace was a PIA. Wildly irregular so spacers were useless, dried quick so on one hand it stayed where you put it but you had minimal time to fudge as you moved along. Glare is rough, had to hang some drop cloths to tamp it down and it wasn't in much direct sunlight.

This is in a house that was 70% complete before the owner bailed. I was asked to finish a few areas, master bath, fireplace feature wall I posted and a pool bath. I always appreciate competition when I find an equal, I actually feel bad for whoever this guy is because he certainly has skills and couldn't complete the job. This is a ceiling 20' up off a kitchen. Room is roughly 25x25, I'd hazard a guess this was a months work.

Jeff, you should be easily able to spot that guy out somewhere. He'll be the one with grout in his hair and eyes.
Nice looking fireplace, Brian.
