tiling walls and ceiling in half bath ??

Hi,
I have a half bath about 5'x5' size (currently just drywalls with white paint, no tiles). It has a window. I have found some 8x10 ceramic tiles and I am debating whether I should tile the walls and ceiling. I don't know anything about "design" and would like some feedback from the pro !

1) If i put tiles on walls, is it necessary to tile the ceiling ? Would that look funny if the ceiling is not tiled ?

2) suppose we don't tile ceiling, do people always tile the whole walls (all the way up to the ceiling) ? Do people tile half way up to window sill only ?

Any suggestion/ideas are appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, Man!

1) No, you don't have to tile the ceiling if you don't wanna.

2) The only place you do havta tile is the tub/shower surround and then only up to the showerhead. Everywhere else is decoration. For a half-bath (lavoratory and toilet) using tile as wainscoating is very common. The height is up to you, but if you have chairrail in other rooms in the house, use that as a guide. Otherwise, pick a height that "makes sense," like the bottom of the window, or high enough to be a backsplash for the sink.

Hope this helps.
