Marble shower tiles can use some help

I have a marble tile shower that has lost some luster of the years. Can the marble tiles be refinished / re-polished? Where would I begin to find the right professional to do this?

John I would start by having you add your location to your profile. There may be a pro close to you that can help.

It may just need to be stripped and resealed.

To bad John, i was just there to build a steam shower for a contractor i used to do work for before i moved. Just a suggestion but have you tried to use an enhancing type sealer. Might be what your looking for without the expense of a more in depth solution. I know the couple times i looked into refinishing a countertop for customers the cost to hire a granite guy to repolish on site was not very cost effective.

If you're going to enhance marble, try it in a small spot to see if it helps. Some marble enhances more than others and once you enhance, there's no going back. Most of the time I see this, a restoration company is needed to polish it. Just one of the reasons why marble isn't recommended in showers.
