Another 2 inches of snow flurries this morning. It was beautiful, but enough is enough.

Eventually the sun did come out this afternoon.

Precip missed us thank goodness. Right now it's 38 and dropping. Winds 15-20 mph. Low tonight is 20.

Woke to a terrible sound two days ago at 4 AM. The fan motor in our HVAC was screaming. Guess what we were doing 15 minutes later. Unfortunately the motor housing is sealed and we have no way to lube the bearings. We were able to spray some slilcone on the shaft and buy ourselves a little time. DH is looking for a replacement part today. Thank goodness we have some firewood left out back.

You need to move Dan. The flotsam on your beach is just plain ridiculous and dare i say ugly?

Dan it's much too cold to go out there.Be sure if you're going swimming to wear some wool clothing and tie a copper wire around your waist plugged into your generator to keep you warm.

Brrrrr..........

Got some snow left onna’ ground from several days ago and cold-cold-cold windy weather this Sunday AM here inna’ “Free state”.

It’s sooo’ cold that Hunny Bunny done sent the cat out to fetch her Sunday news from down the end of the driveway where Ralph (the paper boy’s dog) chews and drools on it before depositing it half buried in the drainage ditch.

Well….. kitty uttered a few choice words and spit a bit as Hunny eased it out the front door….. and bout’ half an hour later hadn’t returned wif’ the Sunday Gazette yet.

I glanced outside an’ the cat was huddled under a low bush lookin’ a bit like a block of dirty ice.
