Nice Rod. Not a nice rod but nice job Rod. Mud floor?
Isaac is jealous of the man dates... he may not even be a tile guy but an 83 year old woman trolling for contractor dudes on construction forums.

Mark that was hilarious. I almost choked on my water when I read that. Yes I was just drinking water.
Keep my emails to you out of the public. Don't want to get found out.

Back to work in progress. No tile just some prep.
Studio condo, slab on grade. Going to do 18" Dal or Crossville Porcelain with 1/8" joints when it arrives. Doing the floor prep before the GC puts up some of the interior walls.
Of course the entry door and threshold that cannot be raised is the low point. A few high spot were +3/4".
Grinded the slab with a floor machine and pearl diamond attachment to scarify the concrete. Cleaned floor, set tapcons for height with the PLS 180 laser. Primed it and poured the Laticrete Latilevel 86 SLC. Used 19 bags but was only able to pour 2/3 of the floor. Will have to use straightedges to skim out to the high spots on the floor. Will have to just be flat, not level.
And I know I have tendency to slip in some pictures of the beautiful scenery in Maui. Figured I also include another view of Maui. If you are not paying this already you will be soon.

Many years ago, we sent a crew to Hawaii to work on one of our national accounts. Crew worked for free but they took their families for a three week work and play vacation. They loved it!!

I was scrolling down through the pics Homza posted, for a second I thought you were working in the gas station. I went back and saw you are doing a studio apartment. Lot a 86 Latilevel, good stuff though.

Issac it's not a mandate . It's taking advantage of having quality people near me when I need an extra set of hands on a job. Jack is one of only two people I have help me on my projects.
And Issac you would probably be on the list too if you lived here. Does that make it better.
TileJoe that Florida comment was classic lol

Isaac I to would gladly pay that much for fuel to live in Hawaii...I have never been there but some of the pics you post are amazing. I have 5 or 6 buddies from highschool that live there now. They were smart and didn't have families, they gave up snowboarding and took over a surfing lifestyle in Maui.

You mean didn't have families right away? I can see if they are professional making a lot of dough but you only hear about the ones who make it. Location is nice but being with people you care about and having support(family) to me comes first, location next. my .02
