Marty, dominate away When you do that kind a work in that type of home you have no choice, that is a nice tall splash with nice details Not to be critical but what is up with that ugly vent in the ceiling they couldn't find something lil more stylish or custom made

Lol! I wish Chuck. My brother job is to man the wheelbarrow full of money. Psst...don't tell anyone but this particular job is paying about 10% cash... My bro is trying to hide it so he buys himself a Porsche Carrera. He coulda gave me and the boys more of it. We won't tell

Nice looking stuff Marty, but dang that's a lot of travertine. I was under the impression that stuff was out of style, apparently not.
were seeing a ton of more modern type designs up here, Ive only done one trav job in the last 5 years, anyway, nice work.

Thanks Jeremy stone is still very popular here in silly con valley. Specially the high end stuff. This house is in Los Altos Hills, but the home owner is about as polar opposite of the tech guys as you get. He is a farmer. More exactly, an organic farmer. I guess all that extra money you pay for no pesticides etc goes straight into this guys pocket. Skyrocketing produce prices? This guys pocket. Maybe he is thinking that after all the years of removing rock out of his fields, he wants to put them in his house. Organic tile work?
He spent some dough on all the solid mahogany cabinets, doors, wood trim. Even the windows are solid mahogany framed. At least the banisters and railings are wrought iron, so he's not 100% organic

I'm getting tired just looking at all those pictures Marty! How long have you been at that house? Looks good.
Is that red rosin paper that's lying over the floor? I was warned about bleeding into stone.
Here's my last 2 days of sweat , this is what happens when you give a designer free reign! I'll have to grout the shower base tomorrow.

Wow, that is awesome George! You gotta say this for the designer, that is thinking outside the box. Nice work
The builder put down the red rosin paper, so I zipped my lips. We have been getting a rosin paper from Fortifiber that is a dark brown color. No problems from it.
That is a sweet shower. I can see that stone is still popular in your area too.

Thanks Jerry, we are really lucky to have such an outstanding group of tile guys doing our work. It has taken a long time to pull these guys together. The majority of them go back to their beginnings in the tile trade to my brother and I, our top 3 setters each have 15 to 20 years of experience, they have been doing top end custom for years, and they have a great attitude about their job. They take an active role in teaching and guiding the other guys who are learning. They all have worked for others, and yet have come back to work for my bro, saying no one else appreciates them (go figure). They are loyal to us, as we are loyal to them. We ask for a lot, but stay understanding that some days will not be as productive as others. I challenge the guys to be the best that they can be rather than tell them produce or else. It works great as you can see. What more can a tile contractor ask for?
