dropped piece of toilet down the drain line help

Help,

Doing bathroom shower and floor job. toilet was already broke, so I broke the other flange. Well murphy's law says what? yep it was a big piece just one, 2 inches by 4 right down the drain. There is a towl in it now, but a little to late.

does anyone know what they call those tools that look like a plumber snake that
you push on on end and it has little jaws that come out on the other end? Any suggestions please. Thanks in advance JJ

P.S. My water buckets froze outside today man it's cold!

how about a shop vac? Turn that baby on and slid the hose in there and suck it against the end.

Either way, I think you got a pretty "crappy" job ahead of you.

Eez called a .............ta-da.........you ready?...............retrieving tool, Jay. Is what I always called it, and Amazon thinks that's correct, too. Looky here. If you gotta go further than that, and it's straight down, and you can see it, there's the ol' string and bolt and quick-set epoxy trick.

But them grabbers is quicker.

Coat hanger, to grab it and pull up to bend, shop vac sucked it right out. Thanks guys. CX tried to find flexible retrieving tool. Big orange ,Lowes,

Anyway, we ain't surprised at anything the Expert Inna Isle might say at this point. Granted, we ain't heard'em all, but we've heard lots.
