Hopefully no one minds me posting this here.
My parents in Maryland just managed to pick up a stray cat who'd they'd been feeding for a while. She is definitely not feral and I guess someone either lost her or abandoned her. She is super friendly and loves people.
I'm currently helping them to either find a home for her or place her with a non-kill shelter or adoption organization. I'm posting here in the hope someone might like to add another cat to their household. Unfortunately my own cat will not continence another one.
I don't know how old the cat is, but I'm guessing she's an older cat. One of her ears is deformed. Judging by a scar on her lower jaw, I'm guessing the bad ear is the result of a previous fight. She's been using a litter box just fine.
If you have any interest in her, please message me. If you're not local I'd be willing to get her to you on my own dime if necessary.

Hi Zoltan,
She is a beautiful cat who looks like she has had an incredibly rough time. Is there any possibility your parents can keep her or do you and your cat live with your parents?

She looks like she is part Turkish Van and has had several litters of kittens.
She looks like she should see a vet, if funds are available, to make sure she is not ill from her life on the street.
There are millions of cats in need of a good home in the U.S. The great majority of people who love cats are already full up as we seek to bail out the ocean with a teacup, thanks to humans who do not spay and neuter.
Most homeless cats, and she is clearly NOT feral, will die a slow horrible death on the street or be humanely or not humanely euthanized without ever knowing the love of a human.
Short of taking her, as we are full up, I am happy to do anything I can to help. I have been rescuing cats for 40 years and sometimes the cat that shows up at your door is meant for you.

It turned out the cat was a he and not a she. Oops.
He went to the vet to get checked out, and aside from being malnourished and having a bacterial ear infection he was is good shape.
The best news is a friend who'd been wanting a car for a while adopting him! The cat is already following him around the house and doesn't hold the required ear cleanings against him.

That is the best news possible!! He sure has a little fat sack belly! Well, lucky you, lucky friend, and extremely lucky cat. Huge blessings to you and your parents for saving him.

Yes, I suspect with generous feeding he'll soon be nicely rotund.

Old Blue Eyes - Our Dog Sam
Sam is 14 years old, still in good health, but very hard of hearing. He gets a little gimpy from time to time, just like me.

Sam does fine with our three grandchildren who live in the area, but he is suspicious of our overseas grandchildren who are in the area for a while. Maddie, Lillie and Laura finally convinced him to let Laura pet him. After that Maddie had to give him some special love. He was still wondering where Laura was.

Sam is 15 years old now. Just like me, the old joints ache a little. Nothing like some sunshine to make them feel better.
