Scooter - you're my hero!
I am doing an orientation next week for fostering a Katrina displaced pet.
"we" here at the Dog Hospitality Center hope to help out as much as we can.

Rockie is a mix between German Shepard, Chow, and probably a few other
breeds, you guessed it! hes a mutt but we love him to death These are
his "Doggles" He will only wear them once in a while.... he likes to roll on the
ground and rub is face until they come off, i just like seeing them on him I think i posted this photo earlier in the year but i think its appropriate for this thread

I know lots of you are die hard dog lovers. And we have two loveable rescue dogs who have appeared on various threads in the JBF before. I do have to post a picture of Toby, one of our two cats. My daughter got Toby for Frances before we got married. He is a wonderful cat who thinks he is a dog. And of course Sam, one of our dogs thinks he is part cat. What can I say. Someday I'll get a picture of Sam and Toby playing.

LMAO Jack!
The 'doggles' cracked me up. I'll have to see about getting a pair for my pup, and maybe even a pair of 'safety doggles' for the jobsite.
FETCH! FETCH 3/8" TROWEL!

Snoozing in the Pool
Shaka got in one of her last "floats" before it cools down....
And yes, she sleeps in the pool on her float.

I couldn't pass up this thread without posting 3 of the 6 reasons we are tileing our house (3 cats also).
Thought I'd include another "doggles" picture. Nessie is doing the modeling.

Karen,
Yep, what we do for our pets...tiling the house..what a good Mom (and dog/cat Dad)! And the one is 17???? Over a hundred in our years! Wow!
Todd,
Kujaa tugged at our heartstrings. Shaka is 11 years old and her buddy since she was a couple months old was our other puppy, Jerry, our German Shepherd. They were inseparable and he guarded/protected her like a member of Special Forces. He passed away two years ago from an overnight spleen attack illness and Shaka was depressed for a few months (so were we).
Kujaa is adorable..OK, the cat isn't bad either.

Thanks Marge, Kujaa is sweetness with an attitude and like all Shepards, she loves her people!! The cat on the other hand is ALL Attitude!! He allows us to share his house and take care of his needs and he tolerates Kujaa to protect his stuff!!

Jeremy,
14???? Well, I guess if you add up all their weight they might equal two dogs!
Your newest addition is a real cutie!

Maybe, but the posse currently scarf their way through about 130 lbs of dry feed per month. And that a lotta poop

We adopted our bassett hound, Maizie from a rescue shelter 5 years ago. She acclimated quickly to her role as the only dependent being in a house with aging empty-nest parents.
She is grossly overweight due to biscuit overdosing and needs an ottoman to get herself onto my bed. The vet recently put her on a carrot treats only diet. She is spoiled rotten, incontinent if unable to locate a parent immediately, stunningly gassy, thinks she's a 12 lb lapdog, and incredibly nosey. She's also partial to the back of our ankles; I cannot back up without looking behind me as I've tripped over her too many times.
She entertains herself for hours by licking everything she can reach on her body--her very looooong body. Because of this my son refuses to allow her to lick him (I know where that tongue's been!). My son also refers to her as My Mother's Breathing Speed Bump.
But I cannot love her anymore than I do!
