steam shower head

i am in the process of having a steam shower installed and noticed that the steam outlet will be approximately 10"-11" above the tiled floor when completed. the manufacturer's (steamist) installation guide indicates the outlet should be at 18" above the floor. i was wondering if that is just a guideline perhaps as a maximum height. it looks like there should be plenty of room for the steam to be distributed, the shower is only 36" x 54". do you think it will be a problem?

I woulldn't think it would be a problem. I have seen them down within 6 inches from the floor. You might want to call the manufacture to make sure.
