piece of cake, and a nice bit of eye candy

After 108 pages I finally decided to chime in. I've got two boys 3yrs old and 9 months old so not a lot of time to hang out on the computer. I have to make sure they don't use too much water when cleaning up the grout.
This is a job I just completed. Renovation of a shower for a very nice lady. The existing shower was only a few years old. It was a slate shower that was not her style. She wanted some color. So we installed new green glass tile and new granite countertops and shower bench, curb so on. Here are some pictures.
After shimming studs for cbu i skim coated the walls for plumb and flat. Then Hydroban on all walls up to shower head and shower floor. Skim coat of thinset on top of Hyrdroban and set glass with Laticrete platinum, grouted with Laticrete Permagrout. Finished pictures in next post. The hardest part was that we needed to reuse to existing glass shower panels so we had to make sure the new shower worked with the existing glass.

nice execution of that plank tile
I still don't understand the "tile as wood look"
I mean, I understand it in a wet area or when heat is involved, but not as a strictly aesthetic thing.
I mean, tile as wood,
wood as tile
linoleum as wood or tile
why not just do the real deal . . . ?
'just sayin
