Looking for commercial tile installers. Large volume flooring company in Atlanta area looking for ceramic tile installation. Conventional mud skills and waterproofing skills a plus.best subcontracting pay in the area. You can private message me if you are interested.

I don't wanna hijack your thread Tom but maybe you can answer this.I was in Georgia last week hiding from Irma.Some long time customers called me to look at a house remodel they were doing.I gave them advice on the shower pan.They told me the plumber came by and said plumbers don't do the shower pans in Georgia ????? Can you clarify this for me? p.s. i may be moving there but my commercial tile work days are over.

I haven't done any work in Georgia for several years, but to my knowledge the code is generally similar to NC in this regard. The plumber is responsible for pulling a permit if it is a permitted job and you need that permit number to call for a pan inspection, but the plumber does not install the pan. They will:
1) leave a pipe you can cut to the correct height if your doing a bonded flange drain
2) hook up to your drain after you've installed your surface applied membrane and drain
3) install a three part drain for you if you're doing a traditional pan
