Kids Bathroom Question

Hello Everyone,

Bonnie here again. I fixing and finishing what wasn't done in our rebuild in the kids bathroom.

There are four areas of concern: the hole where the shower comes out of.

The holes behind the water faucet.

The holes behind the handles to turn the water on.

The hole behind the tile.

Here are my questions:

1) Do I just purchase a metal ring thing and glue it over the shower spigot hole?
2) Are those holes supposed to be there behind the handles to turn the water on?
3) similar to #1, for the water faucet do I just buy a decorative ring or does that hole need to be plugged.
4) Tile question: can I just use white cauking to fill the gap where the tile is or should I use grout material?

#1) Yes. Most of them will slide on and stay put without any adhesive needed.

#2) No

#3) I believe is related to #2. It looks to me like the entire valve assembly was roughed in to far forward. The correct fix is to move it back. What kind of access do you have from behind? The quick fix would be to silicone it all, but it will not look good.

#4) Either will work.
