Glass Tile Help

I am installing some glass tile on a counter and have 3 questions.

1. What is the best way to cut these tiles. They are 3" x 6" tiles 1/4" thick. I never install these things so I don't want to invest in a 10" diamond glass blade. (don't like glass tiles much) I have a small score and snap glass cutter - and am looking for a glass cutting blade for my 4" grinder but can't find any in my area.

2. Best thin set to use on them ?

3. Using Fibrock Aqua tough 1/4" CBU. Any experience with the stuff and if so it is adviseable to moisten the sheet down first to avoid flashing the thin-set?

Gona need a saw blade for glass. A regular cutting board will do a good job on straight cuts but anything else you need a good glass blade. You flip the glass tile upside down also if it has a painted backing to avoid chipping the backing. And go crazy slow. A medium range marble/granite polish wheel smooths the edge nicely in just a couple quick, light passes.

Good luck and use some good high modified WHITE thinset.

So I went and bought the glass tile blade - what a difference....just goes to show - right tool for the right job is the right way even if it hits you right in the wallet.

Now have 6" x 45" inches of glass tile to lay on a bathroom counter backsplash - can it go directly over the drywall ? Please say yes because I dont want to deal with edging tile and CBU.
