How to store sigma cutters in van or trailer
Has anyone of you come up with a creative idea to carry around your tile cutters in your cargo vans?
My shelves are not deep enough and i always end up putting them on top of other stuff etc etc

Made this box so it can ride in the back of the truck. It has a removable plywood lid held in place by the black velcro tabs

My tomecanic sits in one of these, along with a couple blades, backer rod, spare kerdi band/corners, nippers, etc... and the TM-75 nests on top without sliding around too.

How do you like your Tomecanic? I seem to remember mine being ok when new, but it got pretty beat up in the trailer. Even stepped on once...
I havent looked back at it since I bought sigma's. I pulled it off the shelf the other day and looked it over. Considering ordering parts and rebuilding it.
On topic, I usually have mine sitting on the floor of the trailer. Recently upgraded to a bigger trailer. Planning on making something so they can stand up in the corner.
Being stepped on is no happy

I like it just fine John. It doesn't get used much as I don't do many floors these days, but when I do used it, it's a money maker. It's the smaller one, I think it'll cut 16 or 18". I'll probably get a sigma if I ever need to do a floor with bigger tiles.

No photo, but I have a case for a compound bow that I store my sigma in. Fit's just right and it's rigid enough to protect it, even if you need to toss it around a bit.

Depending on the size of the cutter, these are available.

I drill a hole through the body of mine towards the end and use a bolt and wing nut to secure it to the shelving. It hangs vertically and doesn't touch the floor. Have a bungee cord to keep it from moving side to side.
