It's an ebook, Carie. If you buy it and send your friend's email address to me I will email it to him/her. I can even add some gifty words if you like.

I've just invented the word "gifty," and I've got a copyright on it.

As I remember, it's not a short book, around 80 pages. It would fit very easily on a CD or thumb drive, which is much easier to manage.

Nerys, I'll send a message to the guy who fixes all those little issues. Hopefully he can work on it today. Check back to see when it's resolved.

Hi! I'm also trying to buy the books, but the site gives me the following MySQL error:

"1406 - Data too long for column 'last_page_url' at row 4".

If there is another way to purchase the books, please let me know. Thanks!

E-Books

Maybe it's just me but the e books don't appear to be downloadable. The purchase option does not work as nothing adds to cart.

John, we can always get one sent to you if you can't get it through the online store. I'll send a message to Dave and he'll contact you.

Thanks for your patience.

Which book for beginners?

Hello all,
I just joined this forum and am researching on how to remodel my bathroom. Its a small bathroom and I will be gutting everything and putting in the new tile in the shower floor and wall and bathroom floor and wall, along with new vanity etc.

I have never worked with tile and this entire job will be my first time doing all this, I have the time and will to do it but lack in knowledge. I have watch many videos on youtube, and while helpful, I cant find one that is 100% relevant to what I need. Many parts are skipped or aren't explained enough in detail, so in the end I leave with more questions than I began with.

I don't mind buying one of the books on this website but which one?

Some questions that I cant find solid answer to are:

- Does anything go behind the backer/cement board or do I just screw it to the wood beams. I saw people put redgard on the boards, others not.

- When I remove the tile from the shower floor, what do I replace it with, a shower pan? If so, do I put a tarp over/under it? Or do I just lay new tile over the tile I removed, so I need to put backer/cement board under the shower floor tile?

- What size trowel do I use, what size spacers? What type of thin set?

- Does the shower wall till overlap the shower floor tile or do they meet exactly?
Thanks!
