Name a Shower System

Many of you know the Durock Shower System will cease to exist in December 2019 as USG is dropping the line. Production is being arranged with a new company.

Since the Durock brand name cannot be used, a new one will be needed, and the developers, Peter Nielson and Will De Jesus, have asked us to accept suggestions. The sooner a new name is chosen the better.

I know you're chomping at the bit to name an entire line of excellent tiling products, so now is your chance. Reply to this thread with your suggestions.

Trident Shower Systems
You could use the Trident of Poseidon as a logo...how cool is that?
And you could color the membrane an ocean green that would be distinctive. And pencil layout lines would show up easily on it.

Or...

EverDry Shower Systems

Or...

MagnaDry Shower Systems

Or...

AquaShield Shower Systems

I like Brian's suggestion.

"A.S.S. It's the best"

I'm pretty sure that's way off base, but I'm feeling my oats this morning!

Did USG drop it because Schluter is pushed them out? USG never seemed to market much at all, and never went the retail/direct to consumer route.

USG dropped it because there is no longer a USG, Mike. Bought out by a private german company called Knauf. The contract with the creators of the Durock Shower System did not go with the sale.

And I agree that USG never did a good job of marketing the product.

They should leverage the “Infinity” name from the shower drain aka “Infinity shower systems”. Wonder who owns that trademark?

Matt, I shouldn't presume to speak for the two gentlemen involved, but I feel quite confident in saying they'd be happy to provide a shower's worth of material to whomever should come up with the new name for their shower system.

I wish I was better at this, I type, then delete, then type something else and delete that. So much pressure trying to name this fabulous system. I give up, I like the trident one. Whatever the name ends up being I would like a bright color like construction pink so I can find it my trailer in the dark and the customers come in and go wow that is bright Also so I can write on it and it show up loud and proud
