Shutterfly - nice free features for contractors

Its been a while since I had gone on Shutterfly, but they have some useful features/services, some of which are new since I was there last.

1. Build yourself a Free website (which I think is a new feature from them). Nothing too fancy, but has most everything you need. Takes about 10 minutes and costs nothing. Decent slide show and photo album tools.

2. Good place to back up your photographs. Nice to have one more off-site (out of the house place to store pictures in case of disaster).

3. Nice assortment of books/photo albums you can have printed fairly cheap. Quality isn't bad either.

4. Turn your pictures into stationary, cards, calendars, coffee cups, etc if you want em. Does prints/posters up to 20"x30".

Worth checking out in my opinion. One more place where people can see your work. Made this http://heenangc.shutterfly.com/ in about 10 minutes and I'm not real high tech I think the longest wait was me futzing around with pictures.

Be a good start for somebody who doesn't have a site or any advertising dough.

Hey just checked out what you did in 10 minutes, not bad. A place for someone to go and check out some of your work. Its nice to have an elaborate website for people to see but something like this is really nice to put pics in. Until I do my website this is something I would be willing to try, since its simple. Good recommendation

Yeah, but do they let you edit the html? View the "page source" or "source" for your new site. Your title tag say "Shutterfly."

Yes I did notice that as well, looks like you are getting something and in return they are getting advertising, the tradeoff!

It really needs to say the name of your company and maybe your location. Search engines don't read the front of the page.
