Thanks. I'm not a pro - that's why I'm in this situation! Just trying to figure out the best way to save my $1000 worth of slate!

Start you a new thread about your project. Always works better when our helpful folks can see exactly what you're working on and respond specifically to your situation.

I sanded all of it. It helped to give it a really nice uniform finish.
