Joan Rivers was one of my favorites. She was tough as nails, fought every step of the way, and made it in a man's world. But she's gone now.

My Brother had the job of entertainment Mgr. at the Renaissance Hotel in Detroit back in the day. Part of his job was to meet the personalities and take care of any special requests. He has many stories of the "quirky" folks but said that Joan Rivers was one person that stuck out in his recollections that was down to earth and "real" outside of her act.

My thoughts to her Family and friends.

I think I was 14 or 15 years old when I went to see her at a concert in Memphis.

I learned some new words.
