Curious on pricing

I've uploaded a picture of a job I've recently done. I'm curious to know what other contractors would have charged to to install this.
I'm located in Chicago area
material was a natural stone installed over ditra on concrete with a saw cut running directly through the center. It was roughly 30 sq ft with a double arch. Please let me know I'm just wondering if the company I subcontracted it through is trying to rip me off( I know what i should get but there trying to tell me different )

Welcome, David.

If you'll use the Advanced Search feature a bit you'll find pricing is one of the more common topics on the forum and you'll find the answers about it are pretty common, too.

Pricing varies wildly across the country and substantially across regions and a good bit in local areas.

Nobody else can tell you what you need to charge for any given installation in order for you to make the profit you want to make. That's pretty much the answer you'll see over and over again.

And I don't see your photo. You used the paper-clip icon above the Reply dialog box to attach photos from storage on your computer?

Do you see two rows of icons above your Reply dialog box? Should be ones for Bold, Italic, Underline, etc., etc., etc.

Welcome aboard, David.

You'll find that any discussion here about pricing is pretty vague. This is a public forum, kind of like Facebook. Your customers are welcome here, too.

Schluter shower kit install

Ok I know everyone doesn't like to talk price but I'm curious to know what others are getting to install a 4x4 shower kit

In our area (Fast, rich economy, city of 1 million) It's around $1100-1200. Kit cost is $350 (So around an $800 labour price)

No, that would be just installing the kit itself. Boarding would be extra.

Not sure if you mean install the kerdi kit and all the tile, or just the shower kit. If the space is ready to go, then a shower kit like that can be installed in 4 to 6 hours. So I would charge $300 for labor. A walk in shower start to finish is typically a 1 week project and in the $2000 range for labor.

Wow, you're cheap! Wanna come to Calgary? I'll get the contracts and you can put 'em in for me!

I didn't think $50/hr was cheap. Of course If I had to pay for a house in Calgary I'd have to charge more too.
