If you're looking for advice or peoples opinions on it.. you can start by using the search function on this web forum instead of creating a new thread.

Post Kerapoxy IEG

We don't do installations here, we're a distributor, but we've had a few commercial jobs using this product go out.
Want me to try & dig up who did them & see if they're willing to join the site & post about them?
(I honestly don't remember who bought them, so I'll have to ask customer service for help.) LOL
If it helps at all, I haven't heard any complaints!

I'd never tried the link, Jeff, but now that I have I find it not to be a valid link.

No, I'd never heard of the stuff, Jeff. But I'm not the right guy for that sorta information, anyway. I'm not a big-time tile guy, 'cept when I need to be. I've not used a lot of the products discussed hereabouts.

Test-boards, my son. We make'em alla time.

Onliest epoxy grout I've ever used is Spectralock, which I test drove under the watchful eye of a Laticrete rep whilst at the CTEF a couple years ago. If all epoxy grout is like that, I think they're all good.

But it's likely we've got somebody on here that's used your stuff and will comment.

My opinion; worth price charged.

Kerapoxy IEG

No, we haven't sold a lot of it. Y'all know what the IEG part stands for, right?
Industrial Grade Epoxy.
And because it's a Part A, B & C (like the new Opticolor grout Mapei offers) some people just get too flummoxed to ask for it.
It really isn't THAT difficult. But it is a specialty product.

I have sent a link to this site to our sales reps who are responsible for the customers that used the IEG in recent months, but if no one has posted here (it doesn't look like it) then either they didn't pass it along, or no one jumped in & joined.

I do try to get on here at least once a week. I'm primarily surfing for folks trying to find discontinued tile, but am willing to chime in from time to time on things I know about too. LOL

Happy Holidays everyone!

Jeff, Have you worked with epoxy grouts before?
There's a difference. Some are partial and some are Solids. The Solids epoxy is a bit more difficult to work with, requires a LONG cure time and comes in 14 colors of beige LOL
Ive done a few epoxy grout jobs with several different brands that were suppossed to be several different colors............they all come out looking beige to me

I have Not used Mapei's Epoxy Grout (although Ive used their Epoxy Thinsets numerous times)
a while back I used Hydroments solids epoxy on this project and can tell you its a great product thats difficult for even the most experienced of setters.
It has held up extremely well!!

Sometimes it is better to go to the mfg or to their rep. I have found Mapei in Deerfield Fl to be EXCELLENT in fielding questions and their local rep gets bact to me with detail facts, options and sources.

Never realized how big Mapei is. Their US actrivity is but a portion of their worldwide operation. Plus they package their product for other brands.
