Groutless Mosaic in Shower Niche

So I found a tile I like for my niche but Iím worried about water getting behind it since it is a groutless mosaic. Iíve waterproofed the cement board in the niche but am still worried. Iíve attached a picture of the tile I intend to use. If anyone can share some advice I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I used something similar in a niche and deco band. Is that a natural stone? If so groutless makes no difference, its going to breath, and it will dry out too. Just stay on top of sealing it, keep from squirting globs of shampoo on it , and stay on top of cleaning it with a toothbrush and it should be fine

Like David said, you'll have to keep it maintained to keep it looking good. If not, I can see the joints getting soap and dirt in them. You can use it but it's not a tile I would recommend anywhere in a shower.

Thank you both for the replies. So if I want to use this stone, or any other natural stone, groutless or not, I would need to keep up on the maintenance. I might be lookin at a redesign

Thanks again for your advice!

In any shower, it's hard to prevent spray from getting everywhere which will include dead skin cells, hair, soap, conditioner, shampoo, etc. All of those are organic, which will support mold growth. It's much easier if it's smoother and more easily cleaned with few nooks and crannies to harbor crud.

Bad choice for a tub or shower

Cleaning an irregular surface like that would be a nightmare. You'd need a power washer. It's best to stay with something smoother and grouted to keep it clean.
